A lot of tourists are interested in touring Marche. Commonly called by Britons as “The Marches”, the Italian region has vast coastal plains and mountains. This place is a wonder to behold. Take a look on the nice Roman remains and monuments of the place including the medieval town of Urbino. It is recommended to visit the place because you will really feel the aura of the past. You can imagine yourself living in the 15th century because the town of Urbino looks very much the same whether in the past and up to the present. The town of Urbino is ancient in stature, and rich in history. You will really feel like you are one of the knights of King Arthur.

The town of Urbino hosts the University of Urbino, founded in 1506 and the age old Palazzo Ducale . The Palazzo houses valuable works of art which is only for your eyes and not for your possession because it is worth trillions of dollars according to market’s appraisal. The place is open everyday except on Italy’s National Holidays. Take a visit on other important monuments in the town such as Palazzo Albani (17th century), Palazzo Odasi and Palazzo Passionei. Better take a stroll too at "Pierina Scaramella", a botanical garden in Urbino.

Let’s jump to take a look to Monte Vettore, a mountain between Umbria and Marche in Central Italy. It is vast, wide, and mystical. Locals will tell you that there is a prophetess living in the mountain for several thousands of years and will appear someday when the awaited Judgment day arrives.

Italy is really well endowed with lots of old buildings and ruins. Plan a trip to Gradara, a town and a commune in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. Their lies a twelve century castle who has well preserved walls, not for you to climbed, but only for picture taking activities and appreciation.

Take your feet to the provincial capital of Ascoli Piceno on the southern end of Le Marche. This is an old town with old traditions. It is recommended to stay here for a night and marvel over the beauty of the marble paved main square.

In Pesaro, you can enjoy swimming there because there is a nice seaside resort and a simple commercial town where you can buy your souvenirs. There are lots of beautiful places to enjoy in Le Marche. It is the pride and joy of wonderful Italy. Come to Le Marche and better place your foot prints on all of its featured tourist spots.
